Confirmed: Ghana's Derick Boateng now plays in a Second division

Derick Boateng
Ghana midfielder Derrick Boateng has joined American second-tier side Rayo Oklahoma City on a year deal, the player has confirmed.
The former liberty professionals midfielder has been out of action since ending his loan spell with Spanish side Eibar in the 2014/15 season.
However, his quest of playing again in a new club has landed him in the United State of America, after rejecting offers from AIK Solna in Sweden and Saudi side Al Wahda.
Boateng confirmed having reached an agreement with the lower side.
“Yes, I’m happy to be playing football again. It was a little different from clubs who showed interest, but I believe in this club’s projects,” the former Fulham man confirmed to Fotbolldirekt.

Oklahoma City will be Boateng’s twelfth club after featuring for Panathinaikos, Getafe, Fulham, Colonge Beitar Jerusalem and the like.
