Ashgold robbed !!!

Ashgold players were shocked on seeing their dressing room ransacked

The ugly side of soccer was once again witness at the Bechem park when thieves believed to be fans of Bechem United, broke into the dressing room of Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC when they were engaged in a friendly match against Bechem Utd. 

 The thieves ''intelligently'' broke into the dressing room and made away with mobile phones and monies worth about $50,000 belonging to the players and officials of the Miners.

As part of their(Ashgold) preparation towards retaining the league in the coming season as well as participating in this year's Caf Champions league, the team has been playing series of trial matches including the GHALCA G-6 tournament. 

But the fun of the game was marred by thieves who broke into the dressing room of Ashgold and made away with mobile phones and monies while the game was ongoing. It adds salt to thier injury as they were beaten by the home side 1-0. 

A close source indicated to osportsgh that a police complaint has been filed while embarrassed officials of Bechem United were seen apologising to the visitors.
