Techiman City will play in the Ghana Premier League.

Techiman City was demoted to Ghana third tier.

The communication director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara, has indicated that demoted Techiman City will play in the Premier League come this Sunday.


The participation of Techiman City in the domestic top flight has been in doubt for close to two weeks following the GFA Ethics Committee ruling that the club has been relegated to the third tier league over bribery and match-fixing allegation.

Techiman City has filed for a stay of execution to move the case back to the Appeals Committee.

But Daara has confidently stated that despite the verdict, Techiman City tentatively will participate in the Premier League.

“We are not going to wait till all legal issues are exhausted, which means tentatively Techiman City are attending all meetings of the Premier League Board and therefore nothing changes”, Saanie Daara explained.
