Asante Kotoko striker Obed Owusu says Kotoko have “a lot to fight for in the coming season’ and insists the players are motivated to achieve success in every competition.
The Porcupines have been in tremendous form in the preseason and given back hope to the supporters that the club are in the offing to win back the Premier League and the FA Cup they surrendered last season as well as any cup they meet on their way.
“It’s a difficult thing when you are competing for honours in a league like ours. All the other clubs are good and you need to do extra work to overrun them. So we would have a lot to fight for this season because we want titles” he said.
“All the players here are aware that Kotoko is a title winning club. So we are going to chase back the league title and the FA Cup, and try to win every tournament that may come as we go along. We are very serious at it because we went without any trophy last season and we wouldn’t want a repetition”.
