Ghana international Michael Essien disclosed last Wednesday disclosed that his home in Athens, Greece was ransacked while he was out for dinner with friends.


In an Instagram message, the former AC Milan midfielder dubbed  it  as his first bad week in the Greek capital.
                                                                                         
"I experienced my first bad week in Athens. My home burgled on Wednesday and the defeat on Saturday," wrote the 32-year-old on his Instagram account.

"I am a survivor and looking forward to a new week. The strong will always survive," he added.

Essien has so far scored 1 goal in 11 Greek Super League appearances for Panathanaikos since joining them from AC Milan last year.
