Kwesi Appiah tells Avram Grant what to do.

EX-Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has advised his successor Avram Grant to use a scouting software to monitor Ghanaian players abroad and minimize the staying away from Ghana with the excuse of monitoring players.

The Israeli trainer, who has been under lot of criticism  for his prolonged stay abroad, says he prefers to spend more time in Europe monitoring Ghanaian players because he does not believe in a scouting software.

“After watching him on the scouting software, you put his name down so anytime you make up your mind to go to Europe; you can go and monitor them physically. That can actually help him [Avram] to monitor those here and those in Europe as well,” Appiah told Starr Sports.

Appiah was able to spot talents such as Christian Atsu, Jerry Akaminko, Rashid Sumaila, Jeffery Schlupp, Afriyie Acquah, Majeed Waris, Solomon Asante, et al without staying long in Europe.

But Grant has only introduced two new players into the squad in the person of Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah, German-based right-back Phil Ofosu Ayeh and Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey.

Meanwhile, Grant is expected to name his squad for the upcoming Cup of Nations qualifier against Mozambique latest Tuesday.
